The amount may be inaccurate in places, through coarse data, a faulty radar, or no radar coverage at all. Radar sees rain in the air rather than on the ground, and some of it never reaches the surface.
Days marked “estimated” were rebuilt from the stored images after their original data was lost, so their values are given as a range rather than a figure.
